The aim of this workshop is to bring people together who work in various areas of algebra, logic, and functional analysis. where similar tools and methods are used.

This meeting continues earlier events, like Workshop on Fractal Structures, Ultrametrics and Ordered Fields, Cieszyn 2013, PTM/DMV section 2014, and Interactions between Algebra and Functional Analysis, Prague 2014.

Special event

We have the pleasure to announce the decision of awarding to Marián Fabian and Vladimír Müller the Honorary Bernard Bolzano Medal for Merits in Mathematical Sciences by the President of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The ceremony of handing the medals to Marián and Vladimír will take place during the workshop (on Thursday, September 29). [DETAILS]

The workshop will take place at the Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences, Žitná 25, Prague.

Participants are expected to arrive on Wednesday, September 28, and leave on Sunday, October 2.

ACCOMMODATION: Hotel Andante, (Ve Smeckach 4, 110 00 Prague 1; Phone: +420 222 210 021), 2 minutes walking distance from the workshop venue. Special rates for accommodation have been negotiated: single room 1250 CZK (around 48 euro), double room 1450 CZK (around 55 euro). In order to obtain the special rate, please mention ``Workshop IM CAS".

There is no conference fee. We would like to make this event accessible to graduate students and researchers without grants.
